Settepani
means “seven breads”, and Settepani Bakery more than lives
up to the family name. Since 1981, we have been providing
delicious traditional breads and pastries for many well satisfied
and faithful customers in the New York City area. Our extensive
client roster
includes restaurateurs, café owners, corporate clients as well
as our individual customers.
In
addition to exceptional breads, pastries and other sweets (“dolci” in
Italian), we also provide elegant catered meals, specializing in
corporate catering for large groups. We also cater special occasions
(e.g. birthdays,
engagements, anniversaries) and more intimate dinners for smaller
groups.
Antonio (Nino) Settepani,
owner and master baker, is a graduate of the French Culinary Institute.
Nino has more than twenty years of experience
in the culinary arts and the bakery business. He has collaborated
with the James Beard Foundation, and lectured extensively on Sicilian
and Italian
cuisine. He also participated in the translation into English of
Pellegrino Artusi ’s classic Italian cookbook, “The Art of Eating Well”.
With his wife, Leah
Abraham, Nino established Settepani Bakery with its flagship store
in Williamsburg,
Brooklyn along with a café bakery
in Harlem’s historic and revitalized Lenox Avenue.
Settepani Bakery is dedicated to providing the highest quality products,
by combining the finest ingredients with a flair and artistry reflecting
the long tradition of Italian dolci and breadmaking.
